KGIF is advancing its flagship 300 MW solar project in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul region, leveraging exceptional solar resources and strategic grid connectivity to deliver clean energy at scale.
Project Overview
The 300 MW utility-scale photovoltaic installation will occupy 400 hectares near Balykchy city, taking advantage of Kyrgyzstan's exceptional solar resources and creating 500+ local jobs.
Strategic Location
Balykchy sits at the western tip of Lake Issyk-Kul, providing excellent solar irradiation combined with proximity to existing grid infrastructure. The location enables efficient power distribution to major population centers.
Environmental Impact
Once operational, the facility will significantly contribute to Kyrgyzstan's renewable energy goals, supporting the national target of 10% renewable generation by 2027 while displacing fossil fuel consumption.
