Project Overview

The 300 MW Balykchy Solar Project is KGIF's flagship renewable energy initiative, strategically located in Kyrgyzstan's sun-rich Issyk-Kul region. The project creates 500+ local jobs while offering exceptional conditions for utility-scale solar generation.

Spanning 400 hectares near Balykchy city, the facility will be grid-connected to efficiently deliver clean electricity to Kyrgyzstan's national power network, supporting the country's renewable energy transition.

The project demonstrates KGIF's commitment to ESG-aligned infrastructure development, combining environmental benefits with local economic impact through job creation and technology transfer.
